My youngest brother who passed away in 2004 was a big aficionado of D&D. It as a board game he played in the early 1980s as a teen. Can geezers play? I am his oldest sister and am quite old but wanted to learn to honor him.

This program is aimed at Teens and Young Adults but you are not the first older person to express interest! We’ve noticed and are discussing future events aimed at those older than the Young Adult demographic. Stay tuned!

Hi Meaghan! In January 2024, we will have two Dungeons and Dragons programs for adults. The first is a combined Introduction and Character Creation class on Tuesday, January 16th from 6:30pm-8pm. That program will directly led into our next one which is a six week long campaign for adult beginners wanting to try playing Dungeons and Dragons. The adult D&D campaign begins on Tuesday, January 23rd and runs through Tuesday, February 27th. The group will meet once a week on Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm. If you are interested in trying your hand at D&D with us, you can register using our library event calendar or by calling us at 508-457-2555 x7. Thank you for you interest!

Isn’t the time during school for teenagers?

Great question! We have timed it for ‘Early Release Day’ that month, for the Falmouth Schools.

I would definitely be interested in an Adult Dungeon and Dragons event at the Library. How can I receive notification to stay updated on events that the library would be planning to hold? Also have you looked into D&D Beyond app to help with managing campaigns and Characters creation process. It through Wizards of the Coast which makes it legit and it’s also free.

Hi Calvin! We are currently looking for another Dungeon Master before we start our second campaign. If you have any interest in leading the group, certainly let me know! It will be running on the same schedule of Tuesday 6:00 – 8:00. Thank you so much interest and passion! I’d love to explore the possibly of using digital materials given how expensive the physical books are.
