Teens

Welcome to the Teen Page!

The library’s Young Adult Room is intended for use by teens in grades 7-12.  Its purpose is to centralize the resources, events, programs, tools and information you need, while also providing a safe, welcoming space that is uniquely yours.  It is a place to get the things you need and it’s a place to show off your work.  It’s a place to socialize or to find solitude.  And we do take suggestions, so if there is something you’d like to see the teen room do or have please contact Meg, the Teen Librarian and she will do everything she can to make it happen.  Info below.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Tarot Reading!

POSTPONED

“Laura Campagna believes that a spark of divine magic resides in each of us. Through her intuitive tarot and astrology readings, energy healings, and magical workshops, Laura will awaken the inner witch, wizard, or magician in you. ”

What’s the greatest book of all time?

Submit your nominations here.  The most nominated books will face off in March.  It’ll be chaos. (That’s a March Madness synonym joke, and if you appreciated that, you should hang out at the library more.  We’re your people.)

.

ONGOING EVENT:    Movement and Stillness – a Teen Visual Art Exhibit

Cape Cod teens are invited to submit visual artwork in any medium (photography, painting, drawing, collage, digital art etc.) to be displayed in the YA room at the Falmouth Public Library.

Prizes will be awarded in 2 categories; people’s choice and library staff pick!

If you are able to lend us your work framed or otherwise ready to hang, that’s great.  However, if you don’t have a frame, or you need a little help making your art gallery-ready, don’t worry – we can help you!

To submit work / ask questions, email the teen librarian, Meg Krohn at mkrohn@falmouthpubliclibrary.org

.

Are you interested in 3D animation?

We are partnering with FCTV to offer a (FREE!) 5-session 3D animation class in March! Email our teen librarian Meg for more info.

(This is the actual software you will be using —–>)

What are we missing?  Is there something (anything – book/ game / object/ class) that you think we should have or offer here at FPL?  Let us know by filling out this super short form:  New Item Request Form

  • Graphic novels, anime, & manga
