SUPPORT FUND PROJECTS:
English Language Conversation Group – Led by an experienced English Language teacher, this group provides a weekly opportunity for students of English as a second language to come and practice their conversational skills.
The Chill Zone – A special space designed specifically for 5th to 8th graders was created in the Children’s room. Many thanks to the Support Fund, the Friends of the Falmouth Public Library, and the Board of Library Trustees for giving the pre-teens a space of their own.
Art Hanging System installed in the Teen Room – A Walker Art Hanging System was installed in the Teen Room so that teens, working with the Teen Librarian, can display their creativity and make the room their own.
New Carpeting at the East Branch – The Support Fund contributed to the new carpeting installed throughout the East Falmouth Branch. The Support Fund also funded a sign matching the one at the that was installed at the North Branch Library.
North Falmouth Branch Siding – A fitting end to a collaborative project working with the Board of Library Trustees and the Town of Falmouth – a sign was installed on the newly shingled building. Special thanks to the Sherriff’s Department for their labor; Michael Galasso for providing the materials; Bill Hough and The Enterprise for providing coverage on this project; and to the DPW for facilitating the exterior work, painting the trim, and providing the much needed landscaping.
The East Falmouth Library Reading Garden Project – Many thanks to all those who came together for the common cause of enhancing the East Falmouth Library!
