Book Sales & Donations
The 2024 Friends of the Library Holiday Book Sale in the Hermann Foundation Meeting Room will take place:
- Wednesday, December 4, 12-5PM (Members Only)
- Thursday, December 5, 10AM – 5PM
- Friday, December 6, 10AM – 5PM
- Saturday, December 7, 10AM – 5PM
The Friends of the Falmouth Public Library accept donations of materials in good condition at their book room located on the lower level of the Main Library. Small quantities (a shopping bag or less) may be dropped off through the two slots in the wall outside the Friends Book Room during normal hours of Library operation. Larger quantities require an appointment, which can be made by contacting the Friends at (508) 457-2555, extension 2918 during normal hours of Library operation.
With funds raised from membership dues, donations, and Book Sales, the Friends were able to provide the following gifts and services to the Library and the community of Falmouth:
- Joy of Learning academic classes covering a wide range of subjects
- Museum Passes for Boston and local area museums
- Generous funding for Children’s Programs at all three locations throughout the year
- Contribute to new Furniture for the Chill Zone, the Tween area, in the Children’s Room
- A new Circulation Desk for the East Falmouth Library
- Provide additional funds for eBooks
- Support for area book clubs
- Upgrades to library technology

About the Friends
The Friends of the Library are a group of citizens whose purpose is to support and enhance the programs and services of the Falmouth Public Library in cooperation with the Staff and Library Trustees. They are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing the projects, programs, and services of the Falmouth Public Library. The Friends are happy to accept monetary donations.
