Weekly Programs for School Aged Kids
Mondays:
Maker Mondays
10AM—4PM – East Falmouth Branch
Drop in any time between 10 AM and 4 PM for Maker Mondays—a fun, self-paced science activity for curious kids! Each week features a new hands-on experiment. No registration needed—just come by, explore at your own pace, and discover the wonders of science through playful, interactive projects. Perfect for budding scientists of all ages!
Comic Club
3:30PM—5PM – Main Library
Have a story in your head and characters you’re dying to bring to life? Comic Club is for artists and storytellers ages 8 and up who want to explore the art of comics and graphic storytelling.
Each session, we’ll provide comic panels and storyboards to get you started, plus tips and techniques for drawing your own original characters. Whether you’re a seasoned doodler or picking up a pencil for the first time, you’ll leave with pages you’re proud of — and maybe the start of your very own comic series.
Block Party: LEGO at the Library
4PM—5:30PM – North Falmouth Branch
Join us on Mondays from 4:00pm to 5:30pm for Block Party: LEGO in the Library at the North Falmouth Branch! This is a drop-in LEGO building session and all are welcome! Please leave your own LEGO bricks at home (you wouldn’t want to lose them!)
Tuesdays:
Stay & Make: Drop in Craft
10AM—2PM – North Falmouth Branch
Stop by and make a craft! Suggested ages 3 and up, some adult assistance may be helpful.
Block Party: LEGO in the Library
3:30PM—5PM – Main Library
Come build with us! Children ages 6+ are welcome to use our massive LEGO collection to create anything they want. Leave your own LEGO bricks at home- we wouldn’t want them to get mixed up!
Wednesdays:

Art Club
3:30PM—5PM – Main Library
Get creative at the library with our weekly Art Club! Each session features a fun, hands-on project that kids can make and take home, from colorful decorations to imaginative art pieces. All materials are provided, and no registration is required—just drop in and start creating! Be sure to check in the Children’s Room or online the week before to see what exciting project we’ll be making next. This program is perfect for any age child who loves to create, explore, and express themselves through process art.
Thursdays:
STEM Challenge
3:30PM—5PM – Main Library
Put your engineering skills to the test with weekly building challenges using everyday materials like craft sticks, clothespins, and binder clips. From towering skyscrapers to sturdy bridges, builders will explore structural design through hands-on, creative play.
Library LEGO Time
4:30PM—6:30PM – East Falmouth Branch
Join us for creative fun at the East Falmouth Library’s LEGO Time! Children ages 5 and up are invited to drop in and build their own LEGO masterpieces using the library’s collection of bricks. No registration required—just bring your creativity and get ready to build, play, and share your creations with new friends!
Fridays:
Scavenger Hunt
2PM—7PM – North Falmouth Branch
Scavenger Hunt! Search the room for the clues, solve the riddle and claim your prize!
Reading in Forts
3:30PM—5PM – Main Library
Join us on Friday afternoons for a cozy, relaxing end to the school week. Bring a book you’re currently reading and settle into one of our comfy reading forts. There’s no assigned reading—just quiet time to enjoy your book alongside other readers. You might even discover your next favorite read!
Saturdays:
