Tax Tips for Seniors with Neighborhood Falmouth

After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, Dan Leader served as a submarine officer in the Navy until retiring in 2004 after 22 years of service. He then taught math at Barnstable High School for four years followed by 14 years at Mashpee Middle-High School teaching mostly physics along with various other math and science courses. Besides long experience doing his own taxes, he prepared income taxes as a volunteer in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program within the Navy, and is now in his fourth year as a volunteer with the AARP Tax-Aide Program preparing taxes for low and moderate income residents of Falmouth.
Neighborhood Falmouth is part of a growing national movement to promote continuing community residence for older Americans.
