Lawn Concert, Matt York, on Tuesday 8/20!

This has been rescheduled from July as it rained that day!

We are excited to welcome back longtime New England singer/musician/author Matt York for another live, outdoor acoustical performance on the lawn on Tuesday evening, July 23rd from 6-7:30 pm Bring your chair or blanket! The concert will be canceled in the event of rain.

Matt will perform a mix of roots, country and Americana music from the past sixty years. Fans of Neil Young, Tom Petty, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and more will be sure to enjoy this free concert. Check out his site here for more about him!

York was recently nominated for the Boston Music Award for Best Country Artist for the second consecutive year and his album Gently Used was just named one of the Patriot Ledger’s best albums of 2022. The Boston Herald said of his album, “Boston, Texas”, that the singer-songwriter uses basic building blocks-Buddy Holly’s chords, Hank Williams’ swagger, Steve Earle’s boozy wisdom, Paul Westerberg’s straight-up drunk wisdom-to construct an album of beauty, optimism and heartbreak”.

We thank the Trustees of the Falmouth Public Library for sponsoring this concert.
