Teens

Welcome to the Teen Page!

The library’s Young Adult Room is intended for use by teens in grades 7-12.  Its purpose is to centralize the resources, events, programs, tools and information you need, while also providing a safe, welcoming space that is uniquely yours.  It is a place to get the things you need and it’s a place to show off your work.  It’s a place to socialize or to find solitude.  And we do take suggestions, so if there is something you’d like to see the teen room do or have please contact us!

UPCOMING EVENTS

ONGOING EVENT:   Teen Visual Art Exhibit

Cape Cod teens are invited to submit visual artwork in any medium (photography, painting, drawing, collage, digital art etc.) to be displayed in the YA room at the Falmouth Public Library.

If you are able to lend us your work framed or otherwise ready to hang, that’s great.  However, if you don’t have a frame, or you need a little help making your art gallery-ready, don’t worry – we can help you!

What are we missing?  Is there something (anything – book/ game / object/ class) that you think we should have or offer here at FPL?  Let us know by filling out this super short form:  New Item Request Form

Follow us Instagram@falpublib   **** Don’t forget to tag us in any sewing project or library craft you create!  We love to see your work!

Check our calendar to see what else is happening soon and to sign up. Teens are welcome at any of our adult events as well.

If you have ideas or suggestions for events, classes or activities, email us!

Books and Things!

The YA Room has a large & diverse collection, including:

  • General fiction (including mysteries, sci-fi, LGBTQAI + & more!)
  • Graphic novels, anime, & manga
  • Poetry
  • Magazines, including Game Informer, Kolaj, MAD.
  • Non-fiction (There is a great range of fantastically interesting stuff here – “nonfiction” sounds much duller than our selection actually is.)
  • Thousands of e-books and e-audios through the CLAMS Digital Catalog.  Download the Libby App to easily borrow audiobooks and e-books on your phone.
