Project Vote Smart

Project Vote Smart is "a national library of factual information on candidates for public office from President of the United States down to state legislature. We cover them in five basic areas: backgrounds, issue positions, voting records, campaign finances, performance evaluations made by over 100 to liberal to conservative special interest groups... Our web site provides instant access to our database on candidates and issues along with presidential candidate speeches (searchable by keyword and phrase), our publications (full text), youth inclusion program (where you can match your issue responses with those of the candidates) and links to all the best sites on the Internet with government and political information." Not as good as the real thing, but a good place to start.
