Have you enjoyed acting in a play before OR have you always wanted to give it a try?
Then this workshop is for you! Vacation Acting Camp for 7th & 8th Graders is a great way to spend your winter recess from school this year.
Join local community theater director/actress Davien Gould for 4 days of activities including theater games, acting exercises, and performance techniques used by actors and student actors to stimulate their imaginations, strengthen their focus, and prepare for their roles on stage. Participants will collaborate to create a final performance, open to the public on the last day of the camp.
Davien Gould has been active in local community theater both on and off the stage for the last 38 years. She has directed family productions for the Falmouth Theatre Guild, including 1998’s Oliver and 2010’s Peter Pan. In addition to teaching early childhood professional development and parent workshops throughout New England, Davien has spent much of her career developing acting workshops for children and adults, as well as incorporating theater, music, and movement into her Integrated Arts Program at the K. C. Coombs School in Mashpee, where she was on staff for 22 years. Davien and her daughter Morgan Gould co-directed “Kids Take the Stage” at the Falmouth Public Library last August that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We are very pleased to have her back this winter for another exciting production.
