Welcome to summer! How do we know it is summer? Because the Beach Basket is back, the lobster lights are up, and the puzzle has returned to the Reference Room. So we are thinking lots about summer, and summer reading. What will you be reading this summer? Leave us a comment on the blog, visit our Facebook page, or just send us an e-mail () to let us know what summer reading you are looking forward to this summer!
Memorial Day Weekend means that we will be closed on Memorial Day, and that the Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on the library lawn. The parade will leave the Village Green at 9:45 a.m., and the ceremony will commence when the parade reaches Memorial Lane. A light lunch will be served at the Falmouth Elks Lodge, 140 Palmer Ave., following the ceremony. Any questions please contact Crystal Knowlton 508-495-7453.
After Memorial Day, we’ll be celebrating the 19th Annual Cape Cod Maritime Days. Join us on Tuesday, June 5th, at 7:00 p.m. for Songs of the Sea with Debra Cowan. Debra is one of America’s foremost interpreters of traditional and contemporary folk songs. This program is free of charge thanks to the support of the Falmouth Public Library Trustees.
