The library Great Decisions group returns next month! We begin on Tuesday, February 19th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This year the discussion topics are: Future of the Euro, Egypt: navigating an uncertain transition, NATO: Crisis? What crisis?, Myanmar and Southeast Asia, Humanitarian Intervention and U. S. Policy, Iran and the U.S.: three decades of futility, China in Africa: savior or self-interest?, and Assessing Threats to the U.S.
What is Great Decisions??? Great Decisions is the name shared by a national civic-education program and publication of the Foreign Policy Association. Published annually, the Great Decisions briefing book highlights eight of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans today. Great Decisions provides background information, current data, and policy options for each of the eight issues and serves as the focal text for discussion groups.
