If you are 11 to 18 and you like beaded jewelry (or you know someone who fits that description) then this blog is for you. The Falmouth Public Library is excited to present a FREE beaded bracelet workshop for teens with local beading maven, JoAnn Allard of The Bead Tree, our local beading studio. In this workshop you will be given a set of beads and JoAnn will lead you through the process, step by step, to make a beautiful bracelet with dangling bells. You can choose bluebells, in shades of blue and white with silver accents, or you can select Christmas bells, in you guessed, it, red and green with gold accents. These bracelets make a lovely gift for your mom, grandmother, best friend or yourself! Come see the examples on display at the reference desk.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, December 11th from 1:15 – 3:00 PM (that is early release day from Falmouth Public Schools). Since JoAnn plans to give a lot of one-on-one help with the process, the workshop is limited to 10 students. Sign up by this Saturday, that’s December 8th, at the latest.
Contact the reference department to reserve your spot:
phone: 508-47-2555 ext. 6
text: 66747 and start your question with “askfpl” (standard message rates apply)
example: askfpl I’m 11. Is there still room in the bracelet workshop?
Come to the workshop and get hooked on beading! We have lots of books at the library to give you ideas for a wide range of projects, from jewelry to decorative arts, and the instructions on how to make them. What a great way to make your holiday gifts this year!
