Falmouth’s annual town wide read is now underway. After Saturday’s stirring talk by Greg Watson the Massachusetts Commissioner of Agricultural Resources (and Falmouth resident ), it’s time to read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver, the book that energized the “eat fresh, buy local” movement.
The Falmouth Public Library has many copies available for check-out at the main library; there are also copies available at the North & East branches, as well as West Falmouth & Woods Hole. Discussions of Animal, Vegetable, Miracle are already scheduled.
At the Falmouth Public Library, 300 Main Street, there will be a 3-part discussion at 7 pm on Wednesdays, January 30 (Ch. 1-7), February 6 (Ch. 8-14) and February 13 (Ch. 15-20).
At the East Branch Library, 310 East Falmouth Hwy (Rte 28), the Fact & Fiction Book Club will discuss Animal, Vegetable Miracle on Tuesday, February 12 at 10 am.
Please note—if you participate in a neighborhood book club, we have plenty of copies of the book available for check-out. AND, at the Falmouth Public Library Reference Desk we have a Discussion Question Handout to give out – just stop by and ask!
