Halleluiah! And not just for Christmas . . . The online edition of the Cape Cod Times is back on our Database List! It is a vital resource for local news, covering all Cape Cod, including news stories and opinion, business, lifestyle, and obituaries. It provides access to all locally written articles, but not stories from the national or international wire services. We were disappointed when the State failed to renew subscriptions to regional news providers, but the Falmouth Public Library’s commitment to provide our patrons with the best possible reference service has won the day and we are back online. Database coverage runs from November 1, 1998 to the present, and is updated daily. Of course, we still have the microfilm edition going all the way back to 1936 (but it is not indexed).
To access the Cape Cod Times, go to the Falmouth Public Library homepage , find the Library Databases icon and On the next screen, click on the heading Newspaper Databases or scroll down to find the Cape Cod Times. Login with your Falmouth CLAMS card.
