(fantabulous author/illustrator of the Elephant and Piggie books among others) is doing a daily program online called “Lunch Doodles.”
You can watch it live at 1:00 p.m. ET, and after that it will be online for streaming.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy website, Storyline Online, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations. Readers include Viola Davis, Chris Pine, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Costner, Annette Bening, James Earl Jones, Betty White and dozens more. Also available as an app for ipad and iphone.

Is your child clamoring for a picture book from their favorite series? If you don’t have any on hand, look for their favorite character on this list from the Indianapolis Public LIbrary: Book Character Printables from Amelia Bedelia to Where’s Waldo.

From the Indianapolis Public Library, a listing of 500+ e-Books and Video Read Alouds for Kids. Highlight: Jan Brett reading aloud her new book “Cozy” about a Musk Ox. This book isn’t even published yet. It’s due date is this fall, and if you look closely at the pages in the video, there aren’t even any words printed on the pages yet!

Sharks! The Atlantic Shark Conservancy is doing a shark storytime every day on their Facebook Page. The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy is a nonprofit organization based on Cape Cod and was established in 2012 to support great white shark research, education, and conservation.

One of the best resources for online for kids is a site called Jbrary. Dana and Lindsey have put together some fabulous online storytimes.
Songs There is not a preschool song these two ladies don’t know, not a fingerplay they haven’t mapped out. They have both versions of the baby shark song-the one where everyone lives, and the one where….not so much. This is a source by librarians, for librarians. If you explore it too deeply, there will never be a reason to come to a storytime in person again. So please, just sip lightly…!
