The Friends of the Falmouth Public Library


The Friends are a group of citizens whose purpose is to support and enhance the programs and services of the Falmouth Public Library in cooperation with the Staff and Trustees.

Book Donations:

*The Friends are NOT accepting book donations at this time. The Friends Book Sale will be held between July 1-6.* They WILL accept books again beginning on July 17th.

If you wish to donate used books to the Friends Book Sales, please place materials in the Friends’ book drop on the lower level to the left of the stairs. The Friends sponsor a summer sale in July and a holiday sale in December. Proceeds from the Friends’ sales support library in many ways.

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing the projects, programs, and services of the Falmouth Public Library, the Friends are also happy to accept monetary donations.

Friends Book Sale

Location: Library Lawn

Saturday, July 1 – Wednesday, July 5: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Thursday, July 6: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Library Gifts & Services

Last year with the funds raised from membership dues, donations, and the book sales,  the Friends were able to provide the following gifts and services to the Library and the community of Falmouth:

  • Joy of Learning academic classes covering a wide range of subjects
  • Purchase of Museum Passes
  • Popular Databases such as, Consumer Report, and IndieFlix
  • Book rentals for those who are eager to read the latest best sellers
  • Programs for children and adults throughout the year
  • Support for area Book Clubs
  • Upgrades to Library Technology
  • Recent redesign of Library Website

Become a Member!

Becoming a member of the Friends is easy. Pick up a membership form and brochure at the Main Library or at the North or East Branches, or print a PDF version and mail it in or drop it off at the Library.
