Outside Pickup of Library Items

Outside pickup is available at all locations for items reserved in advance. No appointments needed. Drop in during open hours. Please wait to be  notified that your item is ready for pickup before coming to the library.

Main Library – At the Katharine Lee Bates entrance doors. Please wait to be  notified that your item is ready for pickup either by phone or email before coming to the library.

  • Monday, Thursday-Saturday 11am-4 pm
  • Tuesday & Wednesday 11am-6pm

East Falmouth Branch – At the front window or at curbside in your car. Please wait to be  notified that your item is ready for pickup either by phone or email before coming to the library.

  • Monday & Tuesday 9am-5pm
  • Wednesday 9am-1pm
  • Thursday 1pm-7pm

North Falmouth Branch – In the lobby at the Chester St Door. Please wait to be  notified that your item is ready for pickup either by phone or email before coming to the library.

  • Monday & Friday 3pm-7pm
  • Tuesday & Wednesday 11am-3pm

Reserving Library Items

  1. DIY Reserves can be done online in the CLAMS website
  2. Call the library and staff will place your reservation
  3. Send an email to info@falmouthpubliclibrary.org
  4. Text 66746 and start your question with “askfpl”

Falmouth Public Library’s staff is ready to help with any questions you might have.

Please call either branch during their Outside Pickup hours. The Main Library can be reached:

  • Monday, Thursday-Sunday 10am-5:30pm
  • Tuesday & Wednesday 10-8:30pm

Returning Items & Donations

Return library items to the book drops at any library any time 24/7. Following return, items will stay on a your account during a 72 hour quarantine. Your items will be checked in after this quarantine period. 

Good News! The Falmouth Public Library, as well as the West Falmouth and Woods Hole Library, no longer charge fines for items returned late to their libraries. We are thrilled to be Fine Free!
