Town Manager Report (as of Thursday, March 15)

Town Manager’s Storm Report: As of 8:30AM on Thursday, just over 6,000 Falmouth Eversource customers remain without power. There has been significant progress since last evening in power restoration. As for the past several days, all Fire, Police and Public Works available resources remain focused on storm recovery. Town Hall continues to be available as a temporary warming center. Unfortunately, as of this time, several major Town public facilities remain without power – including the Main Library and the Gus Canty Community Center. Several Schools remain without power and only have temporary generator back-up as well. With the restoration progress which Eversource crews are now experiencing, we are guardedly optimistic that the number of customers remaining without power will shrink considerably today. As a reminder, if your home remains without power, and if you have not already done so, be certain that you have report this to Eversource by calling: (800) 592-2000. As you travel through Falmouth, continue to exercise caution and courtesy as multiple traffic signals remain out-of-service as of this writing. Also continue to be cautious of remaining limbs, dangling and low-hanging wires which may be near the road right-of-way. Be advised that the Falmouth Emergency Operations Center continues in service to you, and can be reached for non-emergency storm-related issues by calling: (508) 495-2602. If you have an emergency, it is important that you call “911.” Please continue to check on your friends and neighbors to confirm their welfare during this challenging time. Thank you for your patience and support of Falmouth’s public safety mission.
