Science Fiction on The Point with Mindy Todd
We had such a fun time this morning talking about Science Fiction books on The Point with Mindy Todd. Joining us once again, was Vicky Titcomb of Titcomb’s Bookshop located in East Sandwich. I am quite sure we could easily spend a year talking about nothing but Science Fiction, as it is such a rich and varied genre. If you missed the show you can listen online at capeandislands.org. By the way, I was remiss in not letting everyone know that we have a Science Fiction Book Club that meets at the library. Their next meeting will be at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 31st when they will be discussing Lexicon by Max Barry.

I enjoyed the sci fi discussion tremendously. I’m so excited you talked about Zenna Henderson–I remember reading the first novel in the series as a teenager, but I could never find subsequent books. I love sci fi, and would appreciate being on an email list about new sci fi authors and books. I must comment that I didn’t hear much about some British authors I respect: Iain Banks and Peter Hamilton come to mind. Have you read any of their books?
Hi Julie, Thanks so much for your comment. Vicky was particularly delighted to know there was someone else out there who enjoyed Zenna Henderson! By the way, I was remiss in not letting everyone know that we have a Science Fiction Bookclub that meets at the library. Their next meeting will be at 7 PM on August 31st where they will be discussing LEXICON by Max Barry.
