Jean Stone, a best-selling novelist for over 25 years, will talk about her newest book, A Vineyard Summer. “In this sequel to A Vineyard Christmas, Annie looks forward to her first summer on the island. But questions arise … Will she be able to stay? Why does her new almost-perfect man suddenly have a different priority? And what’s with the body that shows up on her lawn?” This female friendship story is filled with heart.
Debut author John Young, an English teacher at the high school and college level, will talk about his first literary novel When the Coin is in the Air, which is set in Indiana, Falmouth and Cambridge. “Jason Blake struggles to understand and try to please an erratic father and a highly competitive older brother. (…) He tests himself by leaving home alone, first to Cape Cod at 20, then to England and Europe at 21 and – after a life-or-death clash with his father – on to Boston. Each adventure takes Jason farther from his father and brother. Each brings him closer to finding himself.” This is a suspenseful coming-of-age story.
