End War: an international poster exhibit

Come see an international labor poster exhibit from the collection of Stephen Lewis at the Main Library.  Lewis, a long-time activist in the labor movement writes, “Organizations in many countries use posters as a way to communicate ideas and messages to their audience.  …  Unions sometimes hang posters in work places to warn of dangers, educate about benefits or inspire actions.  … It is an art form that is easily accessible to many people.”  This exhibit, culled from Lewis’ collection of more than 9000, features posters exhorting viewers to End War.
