2016 Death & Dessert
We’re excited to announce this summer’s guests for our annual Mystery Writers event. Close friends and partners in crime and suspense fiction, Hank Phillippi Ryan and Hallie Ephron, will delight and surprise you during an intimate conversation on Tuesday, July 19 beginning at 6:30pm in the Hermann Foundation Meeting Room.
Dessert, book purchases, and book signings will follow at 7:30pm until 8:00pm. In addition, copies of the authors’ newest works will be available for purchase.
New York Times bestselling author Hallie Ephron grew up in a family of writers and a household filled with books. Her parents were Henry and Phoebe Ephron who wrote screenplays for classic movies like Carousel and Daddy Long Legs. An Edgar Award finalist and a three-time finalist for the Mary Higgins Clark Award, Hallie grew up in Beverly Hills where her new suspense novel, Night Night, Sleep Tight, is set. The story is inspired by Hallie’s experiences growing up there in a Hollywood family, and by an infamous Hollywood murder.
Hank Phillippi Ryan is the on-air investigative reporter for Boston’s NBC affiliate, winning 33 EMMYs and dozens more journalism honors. The bestselling author of eight mysteries, Ryan’s also an award-winner in her second profession—now with five Agathas, two Anthonys, two Macavitys, the Daphne, and Mary Higgins Clark Award. Her newest book, What You See, is an Agatha and Anthony nominee and Library Journal Best of 2015.
This event is offered to the public free of charge through the generous support of the Falmouth Public Library Trustees. For more information, please contact us by phone: 508-457-2555, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
