The Library … “keeper of words”

During National Library Week, the Falmouth Public Library and its branches participated in Massachusetts Library Snapshot Day. The idea was to collect data, photos and comments from patrons and thus capture one day in the life of Massachusetts libraries. One of the outcomes of this special event were the many wonderful comments shared by patrons who use Falmouth’s public libraries.  From time to time we will be featuring on the blog some of the comments we collected on Snapshot Day. Here is the first:

‘I look at the library as the Keeper of Words. I come here to the Falmouth Public Library to find my center, research new avenues and ideas and usually bump into friends while I’m here.  I come here for books, magazines, movies and music CD’s.  All of these things shape who I am and the direction my future takes.”
