New Signs and Some Summer Reading!

Recently a regular reader of this blog came up to the Reference Desk, and very politely suggested that I really should be writing more blog entries. I couldn’t agree with her more. I have been taken over by FaceBook and Twitter, and don’t get to the blog as often I wish I did. However, now that the summer has passed (more or less), I have a bit more time for activities other than instructing people on how to get a visitor pass for our computers, so I am hopeful that my blog entries will be more numerous.

Today I just want to point out that after over four years in our newly renovated building we finally are getting some final signage for the library. We are very happy about this, and want to give a big shout out to Locust Street Sign Company for all their hard word on our behalf!

I actually did do some summer reading this year, and if you don’t have a reserve in yet for Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, what are you waiting for? Believe me when I tell you that you won’t be able to put it down, as you follow the he said/she said narrative about a missing wife.

And if you checked out Fifty Shades of Grey and thought you could write better sentences than E. L. James, I’d suggest trying With My Body by Nikki Gemmell. As the book summary says: “Through the revisiting, through memory, of a past love affair, a woman begins an exhilarating journey into her sexualityy while confronting the hidden truths of her heart.”

Let us know if you read a great book this summer!
