New Magazines! If you haven’t been in the library for awhile, now is the time to return and take a look at some of our brand new magazines. For the reader interested in art we’ve added: American Art Review, Artforum International, ARTMargins, Communication Arts, Print, and Watercolor Artist. For the crafter, we now have Cardmaker and Cloth Paper Scissors. For the cook we’ve added Cook’s Country and Every Day with Rachael Ray. Interested in business? Why not take a look at Entrepreneur. Boats? We’ve added Good Old Boat. Hockey? Try Hockey News. Great writing? We’ve added Paris Review and Tin House. How about quilting? We now have Quilting Arts. Surfing? Sure we’ve got Surfers Journal. Railroad modeling? Yes, we have added Railroad Model Craftsman. Do you need to know what’s happening with pop culture and fashion? We now have subscriptions to US Weekly and Instyle. We’ve also brought back Ladies Home Journal, and for girls, Girls’ Life. Need something completely different? How about mental_floss, the magazine, which is almost impossible to describe. This is how the publisher describes it: “mental_floss magazine is an intelligent read, but not too intelligent. We’re the sort of intelligent that you hang out with for a while, enjoy our company, laugh a little, smile a lot and then we part ways.” And remember … when you lift up a magazine shelf that holds the current copy, you’ll find underneath the copies that can be checked out! We think this is the biggest secret in the library! Also note, you can check out back issues! (Just not the current issue.)
