This is the library maintenance update version of the blog. No doubt there are a few things you’ve noticed around the library if you have stopped by this week. One of these things is that the Main Street door is still unfixed. We have been told by DPW that the part needed to repair the door has been ordered, and should arrive either Wednesday or Thursday. You will also have noticed that the sidewalk that was dug up last December has almost been completed! This sidewalk includes the bricks that were purchased to support the library ... and I know some of you have been waiting a very long time to see your bricks, and we are almost there! I’ll post some photos once the walk is complete.
Things on the way ... the garden on the side of the building that we used to call the library pond is in the works. Again photos will be posted once that is actually planted. And my new word for the day is ”bollard” ... as in bicycle bollards, which are also being installed soon, and will make it possible to secure 12 bicycles on the Main Street side of the library. Lots of spring improvements!
