Today I want to share a wonderful e-mail that we received from some lovely visitors to the town of Falmouth last summer. You can see the photograph of their Falmouth quilt poster on our flickr page.
“Hi. In September this year my wife and I took a-trip-of-a-lifetime to New England. We were based in Falmouth for 4 days. On our last day, we visited your Library and saw the quilt celebrating your tricentennial. We asked permission to take a photograph of the quilt, which was swiftly granted. The fabulous Library staff of Falmouth then presented us with a greeting card size picture of the quilt, along with an explanatory key. This was swiftly followed by a poster that had been retrieved from the basement.
The poster has been framed and now hangs in our living room. This email is by way of a big thank you and a photograph of your/our poster is attached.
We had many highlights in our trip to New England and our welcome at Falmouth’s Library is among the most memorable.
A thank you again to the great staff at Falmouth Library
David and Marian Lomas (from Disley, Cheshire, England)”
