Falmouth Public Library Foundation

The mission of the Falmouth Public Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006, is to support the Library system and its major projects by raising funds that supplement (not replace) public funding. Our purposes are both to enhance capital projects, programs and services in our diverse community and to increase public awareness and use of the Library.

With the completion of the Capital Campaign, “Opening the Door to the Future,” the Foundation is transitioning into its next phase of organizational development which includes raising and maintaining funds for the betterment of the Falmouth Public Library system.  Working in close collaboration with the Trustees, the Library director and staff, and the Friends of the FPL, the Foundation is proud to assist the Library and serve the community.

Ways to give a gift include:

  • Gifts at all levels are appreciated; we accept checks, Visa, MasterCard
  • Named Opportunities: There are options available that include Major Sponsorships (such as the periodical room), Collection Sponsorships, and the Furnishings Program.
  • Board Restricted Fund: Gifts made to this fund helps provide a future stream of revenue for Library system needs.
  • Stocks and Securities: A transfer of stock offers a unique way of giving with favorable tax incentives
  • Planned Giving: Remember the Falmouth Public Library through your will, revocable trust or retirement plan and receive an estate tax charitable benefit.
